If you’ve driven 14 hours, can the co driver take over?

I would appreciate if you added a link to a more updated video. The benefits of mask wearing were still being debated back in April, but now (in September) the science seems clear that masks may be the most important means of preventing the spread of the disease.

The hour of service rule is totally unrealistic... a truck cannot stop anytime and anywhere it wants... unlike a car a truck cannot go anywhere he wants... a truck driver needs a lot more driving time flexibility.... he cannot stop in the middle a freeway traffic to take a 30-minute break... it's impossible to go by the book!

A Canadian company runs a driver in the states and then gets him back for his truck to gets its reset while they put him in another truck so that he can keep running making money on the side and loading up their yard for other drivers out bound loads. They have found away to beat the new system while Americans bust their rump to comply.

Could you give me dome clarification regarding air radius? In the video, you reference 100 -or- 150 miles... when did the option come in, and how is it applied? I don't recall seeing the 150 mile part.

What happened at Greenbrae, CA., no indication as to what the driver did there. Perhaps a visit from a Lot Lizard?

I am confused about the 2 hour extension. I am a short haul driver that doesn't operate outside the state of California. My employer is telling me that I am allowed to use this exception one time a week, BUT if it doesn't extend the 14 hour drive limit then what good is it? So what does it extend?

How can you still be allowed to be on duty after being on duty 14 straight hours?! This is in regards to the video comment at the 4:00 minute mark. (Obviously, the narrator comment does not imply the 16-hour rule, judging by the context.)

Hmmm. I thought that the new changes don't allow you drive more than 8 consecutive hours without taking a 30 consecutive mins break.

There is only one thing i found wrong with this video. Allthough Manifests numbers and load accts are kept track of that doesnt have anything to do with your log book. You are only required to keep copies of your logs with you for 7 days. im not suggesting you throw them away you may be required to relay a copy to your co if they lose one. Carriers are only required to keep logs 6 mos after that they can destroy them and most do just that if they dont have copies of your logs they cant get you for a violation after 6 mos.
